Flight Simulation System at The University of Dayton, Ohio
An integrated Flight Simulation System at the University of Dayton, showing an MP521 Engineering Flight Simulator with instructor station, an MP500-1 UAV Simulation Development and Control Station, and an MPATC Simulation Station, which are networked to provide a total Flight Simulation System.
The Flight Simulation System enables students to work on individual Simulators for design development projects, or fully integrated such that the simulated aircraft fly in the same airspace (visual scene) and environment, under the control of the operator at the MPATC Simulation Station.
The simulator instructor/operator controls the complete scenario from the desk in the foreground, complete with CCTV monitoring of the pilot in the MP521 cockpit, the pilot at the MP500-1 and the ATC controller at the MPATC Simulation Stations.
