IT FLIES USA 2016
First Prize:- $800 sponsored by Merlin Flight Simulation Group
Manchester University tied for first place with their two teams. One made a simulation of a forward swept wing fighter jet, and the second designed a helicopter. Student teams were Patricia Ferrer-Dalmau Font and Tomas Mackus - Cian Hanley, Matthew Hogg and Mitchel Follett.

Third Prize:- went to Mark Sutkowy with his design of a light sport aircraft
The Prize for The Most Innovative Design:- $200 sponsored by Diamond Visionics, creators of the GENESIS range of visual graphics, and the newly upgraded visual on the MP521 simulators at The University of Dayton, was won by Manchester University's rotary wing design team, Cian Hanley, Matthew Hogg and Mitchel Follett
The Best Presentation Prize was won by Manchester's rotary wing design team.
